ESG Investment Indexes adopting Resonac
As of July 2024, We are included in the following ESG investment indexes:
FTSE4Good Global Index
This socially responsible investment index was launched by FTSE International, Ltd., a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange. The index is intended to foster investments in companies that are highly rated based on widely approved international criteria on corporate social responsibility.
FTSE Blossom Japan Index
Included in this index are Japanese companies that are excellent in terms of ESG-related performance. This ESG index is designed to be industry-neutral by weighting based on the FTSE Japan Index (parent index).
FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
The new FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed as a sector neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan. The index selects companies with higher ESG Ratings within the top 50% of each sector and supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies’ climate governance and climate change efforts via the Transition Pathway Initiative’s Management Quality Score.
MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index
The Index construction has a target coverage of 50% by number of securities in each Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS®) sector of the Parent Index by selecting constituents primarily based on criteria including the ESG rating and the company’s industry adjusted ESG score.

Included in this index are companies that are highly rated for gender diversity among those included in the MSCI Japan IMI Top 700 Index (the top 700 Japanese companies by market capitalization).

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
This index by S&P Dow Jones Indices and the Tokyo Stock Exchange overweights or underweights the companies comprising the index based on their disclosure of environmental information and the level of their carbon efficiency.
SNAM Sustainability Index
Launched by Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management (SNAM), this index comprises companies highly rated for ESG and is utilized to enable the company to make sustainable investments.
Certification
Certification as a good company in terms of women's empowerment
Based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, our company has obtained the second stage out of three stages in the "Eruboshi" certification system, which recognizes excellent companies that meet certain standards.
“Good healthy company”
We have been certified since 2017 by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Conference) as a good corporation promoting employees’ health and productivity.
Granted Grand Prix S at the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award 2023
The integrated report of Resonac Holdings Corporation received the Grand Prix S at the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award 2023 held by Nikkei Inc. The newspaper publisher started holding the award, then known as the NIKKEI Annual Report Award, in 1998 for the enrichment and spread of Japanese companies’ annual reports. The name was changed in fiscal 2021 with the aim of restructuring and upgrading the award. For the third round of the renamed competition, entries were submitted by a total of 475 companies. The Grand Prix was awarded to three companies, the Grand Prix E to one company, the Grand Prix S to two companies, including Resonac Holdings Corporation, and the Grand Prix G was awarded to two companies. In addition, the Semi-Grand Prix was awarded to six companies and the Merit Award to 42 companies. The award ceremony was held on March 14, 2024.
