Roadmap for Designing RHQ Functions
Roadmap for designing RHQ functions
We have established RHQ (Regional Headquarters) functions in four regions: North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and China, to strengthen governance and provide support for subsidiaries.
In 2023, we aligned expectations between the CXO organizations and RHQs, adjusted the required number of personnel, and created a framework for cost allocation related to RHQ expenses. Starting January 2024, we began operation focusing mainly on “safeguarding measures” which encompassed dissemination and support for implementation of company-wide initiatives as well as enhancement of compliance. Also in 2024, the rollout of some supporting functions related to Chinese subsidiaries was postponed, but from 2025, we are deploying these functions consistently across all four regions. In addition to setting up administrative general practices for monitoring daily operations and managing activity records, we are addressing issues such as responding to regional differences, expanding support based on feedback from subsidiaries, and reviewing existing regulations, aiming to make this platform more effective. From 2026 onwards, we aim to evolve our platform to the one through which the RHQ operates autonomously as a regional hub function, considering the priorities of functions and regions.
