Resonac Holdings Corporation (President and CEO: Hidehito Takahashi, hereinafter referred to as "our company") previously announced, via our website, the first report on May 20 concerning a security incident that occurred at our company. We sincerely apologize for the great concern and inconvenience this incident has caused to our business partners and related parties.
With the cooperation of internal and external specialists, we have conducted investigations into the cause of the incident and implemented necessary countermeasures. At this time, all investigations and countermeasures have been completed, and the safety of our systems has been confirmed. We hereby report that this security incident has been resolved.
1. Results of Investigation and Countermeasures
- The malware that caused the issue has been completely removed, and there is no risk of further infection spreading from our company.
- Although some delays occurred in certain operations during the security incident, there has been no significant impact on our financial statements. The financial results announcement is scheduled to proceed as planned on August 7.
- The investigation conducted by a third-party organization has been completed, and no significant damages, such as information leaks, have been identified within the scope of the investigation.
- As of now, all systems are operating as usual.
2. Future Measures
- We will further strengthen our security infrastructure and monitoring systems against unauthorized access and will continue to make improvements on an ongoing basis.
