Security Incident at Our Company (Fifth Report)

Resonac Holdings Corporation (President and CEO: Hidehito Takahashi, hereinafter referred to as "our company") previously announced the first report on May 20 regarding a security incident that occurred at our company. As of 3:30 pm on July 4, we would like to report that there have been no disruptions to product supply and to share the results of malware analysis as outlined below.
We sincerely apologize for the great concern and inconvenience this incident has caused to our business partners and related parties.

1. Product Supply
As of July 4, there have been no disruptions to product supply.

2. Results of Malware Analysis
According to the results of malware analysis conducted by external specialists, it has been confirmed that there is no possibility of the malware spreading via the connection between our company's network and our customers' networks.

・We have verified that all antivirus software used on the business terminals and servers within our company is capable of detecting and removing the virus in question. Based on this, we conducted antivirus scans on all business terminals and servers, confirmed that they are free of issues, and are using them accordingly. Therefore, there is no evidence that the malware responsible for this issue was ever sent externally, and there is no risk of it being sent in the future.
・It has been confirmed that the malware in question does not propagate between servers and PCs.
・The malware attack remained confined within our company’s network and does not attack external networks.

3. Other
We are currently evaluating the impact of this incident on our business performance. If it is found to have a significant effect, we will promptly disclose the details.
