July 01, 2018
Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd.
Regarding inappropriate product testing, etc. on certain products of Hitachi Chemical, we reiterate our deepest apologies for the great distress and inconvenience caused to all concerned.
Following our notice on the temporary suspension and cancellation of ISO 9001*1 and IATF 16949*2 certifications for Hitachi Chemical's works in May 2019, we have addressed the issues involved and adopted preventive measures, and managed to gradually clear the temporary suspension and reacquire the certifications. With Saitama Works reacquiring ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, we are pleased to announce that all temporary suspensions and cancellations of certification imposed on Hitachi Chemical's works have been lifted after audits by the certification authorities.
Hitachi Chemical will continue its efforts to restore the trust of all stakeholders by implementing various initiatives that include developing a fully automated product testing system and providing its employees with compliance training and professional education. We appreciate your continued support for Hitachi Chemical.
